A Christmas Prayer, by: Amy Parker, illustrated by: Marijan Ramljak

I am a member of Book Sneeze and received this book to review.
This is a beautiful story about the things everyone should be thankful for around Christmas and all year. A little child gathers all the items for a Nativity and says a simple prayer of thanks for each “precious Christmas gift.” This children’s book is appropriate for all ages, but especially those from birth to 5.

I enjoyed reading this very well-written story to my children who are 3 and 4 years old. The repetition of certain lines is very engaging. The message of being grateful for Jesus is a much needed one. I will hope my children learn “that Christmas is more than toys and lists.” The illustrations are wonderfully done in soft colors and edges. This book is a keeper and will come out year after year in our home. I will recommend it to my friends and family.
