IMAGINATION Abounds...

The final masterpiece. Nice Work!!

Arranging and rearranging blocks, bowls, shapes, etc. can keep Little Bug busy for hours on end. He worked really hard on getting this arrangement just right. It is a snake (the shapes on the right), a puffin (the bowls on the left) and a castle (the blocks in upper right corner). He was really happy with what he had done and insisted that Baby Darlin' Girl not mess it up.

Strawberry Schoolhouse

After picking out our pumpkins we headed over to The Oldest Standing Schoolhouse in the state where Grandma Newton is the docent on Saturdays. There was quite a crowd. We all enjoyed listening to the history and stories. The kiddos loved drawing on the chalkboards and ringing the school bell. The crisp Fall weather made the weekend even better.

Pickin' Pumpkins in Pine

We tried to find a local Pumpkin Patch to go to this year but no luck. So, when we heard they were having one in Pine we headed over. Little Bug and Baby Darlin' Girl each picked out one. Bug claimed his by sitting on it. Baby Darlin' tried to pick hers up even though it weighed almost as much as she does. We ate Kettle Corn and pet a llama. We love being together as a family!

Baby Darlin' Girl looked so cute in her Halloween outfit that we snapped a whole bunch of pics and this was the best. I finally tried to put some bows in her hair, but they didn't last long. At least I got my picture. You are so sweet!

Horsin' Around

Little Bug loves to pretend to be a horse. He uses a scarf for a tail and rings for hooves. He signs horse and "neighs." Sometimes he won't even answer unless you call him "Baby Horse." But, what he really loves is when his Daddy gives him horsey rides all around the house.

Go Fast, Fast, Fast...

Labor Day Weekend was so nice that we rode our bikes several times to enjoy our neighborhood. The kids love Daddy to go "fast, fast, fast" while Mommy just tried to keep up. I sure have gotten wimpy because my bum still hurts after sitting on that hard seat.

Going to Africa

We finally went to Out of Africa to show Little Bug and Baby Darlin' Girl all the animals. Little Bug really thought we were in Africa and thoroughly enjoyed seeing the lions and tigers and bears. We were given carrots to feed the giraffes on the Serengeti Safari, but Little Bug ate his. That was OK because the giraffe wanted no part of our offerings anyway. Darlin' Baby Girl loves lions and has mastered "roaring" whenever we talk about them. They were both so good and we all had a great time.

Kissy Face

Giving kisses and hugs is Baby Darlin' Girl's favorite pasttime. She gives them liberally to all who ask and all who don't, like her big brother. He always says, "No want a hug." Then if she goes to bed without giving him one he says, "I wanna a hug and kiss. Smoooooch!" She even kisses the characters in her books. She's a cutie!

Pull-ups and Muscles

Little Bug is getting ready to learn to use the potty. Yipee!! He sometimes tells me that he wants to wear underwear or pull-ups and no pants, so I let him. This day he wore underwear, training pants and a pull-up all within 2 hours. He always sings "Accidents Happen" from Elmo's Potty Time when we change. He sure wants to be a Big Boy. This is a picture of him showing off his muscles.

Little Lady

Darlin' Baby Girl loves (and I mean loves) to feed herself. She truly is the messiest little eater in the house. Spoons make terrific catapults and lids come off sippys when they hit the ground. We are all so suprised at how little she is with how much she eats. She's always in the mood to give a big smile in between cleaning her plate. This is a super big grin for her daddy.

Block Building

Our Little Bug has become quite the builder. He plays with his blocks every day and makes some of the most amazing creations. He always loves to tell us what they are and what they are doing. Horses, cows, dinosaurs and heavy equipment are the most common things he builds. He even has some little "daddy" toys to operate the equipment.
